Now that we have a basic scene, let’s run it on an actual device. The process of deploying a scene depends on your platform of choice. With Android, it’s trivial. Just connect your device to your computer with a USB cable, mount it as a storage device, and copy your entire scene directory to the SD card of the device when it shows up as external storage. After you disconnect the USB cable, you can launch the ScenePlayer app, click on “Install scene from SD card”, and select your new scene.
The ScenePlayer app cannot read your new scene as long as the SD card is mounted on your computer in USB storage mode.
With the RjDj player for iOS, installing a new scene takes more work. For testing and development, you can install Chris McCormick’s rjzserver tool on your computer (http://pure-data.info/rjzserver). You will also need to configure an HTTP proxy on your iOS device; the README file that comes with rjzserver explains how.
