Chapter 11. Using ActionScript and Compo... > Using the full-screen publish settin...

Using the full-screen publish settings

The easiest way to make full-screen video work in Flash is to use the FLVPlayback skins that enable full-screen viewing and to let Flash write code in your HTML file to allow the page to make use of full-screen mode. Since you have already used an FLVPlayback component with a full-screen mode button, the final step of the lesson is to set the publish settings to use the Allow Full Screen template.

1.
With the lesson11_start.fla file still open in Flash, choose File > Publish Settings. On the Formats tab of the Publish Settings dialog box, make sure that the Flash and HTML options are selected.

2.
Click the HTML tab.

3.
From the Templates drop-down list, choose Flash Only – Allow Full Screen and then click OK.

4.
Test this project in your default browser by choosing File > Publish Preview > Default – (HTML).

5.
Your project should play in the browser the same way it did when you viewed it in the Flash testing environment. Now, however, when you click the full-screen button, the video file that is playing should take over the full screen. Press the Escape key to return to the normal view of the project.
