Sandboxes

At the heart of the AIR security model is the concept of sandboxes. Sandboxes are simply logical groupings of files in an AIR application based on their original location. Different sandboxes are allowed different types of access to system, remote, and local resources. While communication between sandboxes is tightly controlled, files in the same sandbox are allowed to interact with each other freely.
