In this chapter, you have learned a variety of straightforward methods to protect your Android applications from theft and tampering. Although no method is perfect, there’s no reason to make yourself an easy target. Use common-sense techniques for securing your applications, protect your network communication from cheaters, obfuscate with ProGuard, and consider validating application licensing with the LVL. The longer it takes for your application to be cracked and stolen, the more likely those software pirates will simply turn to easier prey.
