8.3. Localization

The English-speaking world is an increasingly small part of the global computer-using community. At some point it is very likely that your application will need translating into other languages.

APIs that generate user interfaces from code or from abstract definitions typically load strings at the same time. Cocoa does not. The nib file mechanism is intended to allow graphical designers to create user interfaces visually and then have programmers connect the created views up to controllers.
