"Not a bad starting point" - by John Simpson on 21-APR-2011

I was looking for a good introduction to Flex and found what I was looking for in this book.

Part I was presented poorly and some sections just seemed completely out of place for the beginning of the book. However, once I was into Part 2 and beyond, the book held its own and was descriptive enough to teach me what I needed to know.

I also want to give credit to the author for putting out a book that gives complete examples without having to rely on downloaded source. If you want to be lazy, you can download the code, but you can also type it all in (and learn more) strictly from the book.

I wish some more advanced material was present in the book but overall it was a good read.
