4.3. Constraint-based layout

If supplying exact coordinates is impractical for your application, you can use a variation on absolute layout known as constraint-based layout. Instead of specifying x and y coordinates to position components relative to the container’s top-left corner, constraint-based layout has you position items relative to the edges of the container or its center.

The advantage of this method is that you can configure components to maintain a relative position within the container, even if the user resizes the window.
