11.5. Summary

Dealing with media is a huge topic that probably could fill a book on its own. Fortunately, there are relatively easy (if limited) ways to utilize each major sort of media. In this chapter, we discussed the various ways to manage and manipulate images on the iPhone and iPad. We first discussed how to load them from disk. This includes images saved in an application’s directory as well as from the camera roll.

We also showed you how the UIImagePickerController can be slightly modified to allow the user to take a photo and use it in an application.
