Facades, Utilities, and Demos

A facade class may have all static methods, in which case it is called a utility in UML [Booch, Rumbaugh, and Jacobsen 1999]. Later, we’ll introduce a UI (user interface) class, which could have been given all static methods, although doing so would prevent overriding these methods in future subclasses.

A demo is an example that shows how to use a class or subsystem. As such, demos provide much of the same value as facades.
