    9.2. Exploring the Book Catalog portlet’s database tables

    The Book Catalog portlet’s requirements in this chapter are the same as those defined in chapter 6 (section 6.1). The only additional requirement is that each book record in the database should have a creation date and time and a modification date and time.

    Figure 9.1 shows the two tables used by the Book Catalog portlet to store book information: BOOK_TBL and TOC_TBL. Let’s look at what information is stored in each of these tables.
