In the first section of the workshop, you enabled the capability to require check-outs. This is important, because without this feature, anyone belonging to the PMIS can edit any document at any time, regardless of whether another user is already making changes to that document.

In Part 2, you checked out a document and modified it. After that, you checked it directly into the document library from Microsoft Word 2010, which automatically saved your changes.

In Part 3, you were able to view the different versions of a document. The version control feature was enabled earlier when you created the document library.
