In Part 1, you created a custom list that is specific to the change request information that SharePoint Dojo would like to capture. You defined columns with varying column types. In your own project environment, you have to assess what type of information you would like to capture, and create the custom list with the appropriate columns defined.

In Part 2, you defined the settings for the three-state workflow, specifying who will be tasked to address the specific states of the change request.

As you can see, the three-state workflow can be used to create a simple change control system. If your change control process is more complex, you can leverage another product called Microsoft SharePoint Designer to build custom workflows.
