Part 2: Customizing the Three-State Workflow

Now that you have created the change request custom list, let’s automate the change request process by adding the three-state workflow:

Access the Change Request list, and select List Tools, List?List Settings.
In the “Permissions and Management” column, select Workflow Settings (see Figure 6-24).

Click the “Add a Workflow” link.
The “Add a Workflow” page will be displayed (Figure 6-25). Select “Three-state” as the workflow template. In the Name field, enter Change Request Process.

In the Start Options section, ensure that the only enabled option is “Start this workflow when a new item is created”.
