Mobile devices come in many screen widths and resolutions, and people can use them in portrait or landscape mode. jQuery Mobile provides a responsive layout framework for handling these situations, enabling you to build mobile application interfaces that have the benefits of both fluid and fixed layouts.

The responsive layout framework consists of CSS selectors built around device orientation and screen size, orientation change events, and dynamic media queries.
