Organizing for Development

The Functional Specification provides the details of the customization requirement that were identified during the Business Blueprint phase for any of the RICEFS (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms, and SAPscripts) objects. Based on the information provided in the functional specifications, the developers will now develop the technical specification for each RICEFS object. The technical specification will provide technical details at the table and field level, including the choice of programming tool that will be used for developing the customizing object.

A development class is created for each functional area, such as FI for Finance, MM for Materials Management, PP for Production, SD for Sales and Distribution, and CA for cross-functional.
