Chapter 14. Windows 2000 and COM+ Considerations

If various schedules go according to plan, you should be reading this book in the months following the release of Windows 2000, the replacement for Windows NT. Within a few months, your company can begin making the long-anticipated migration to this latest Microsoft server platform and its COM+ model. At this point, you might be concerned that everything that has been demonstrated in this book is for naught with this new technology release, or you might be concerned that implementing an application based on the framework we have presented will have to be reworked after you do make the migration.
