Why are we moving so slowly in the improvements of programming methods and processes?

Grady: Well, I object to the premise of your question. Perhaps it seems slow because from the inside of the industry, we know there is much more we can do, and do better. But consider that our industry has literally transformed the world in, essentially, one generation. To me, that's fast, not slow.
