How the Inception Phase Works
In addition to the usual ongoing project goals, the Inception phase has several specific goals all of which are indicated in Figure 6.2. Figure 6.3 depicts a high-level timeline for a typical configuration of agile practices that address the goals of the Inception phase, but you need to tailor and perform these activities to the extent they make sense for your situation. These practices are described in detail in Chapters 7 through 11.
