The following poem is dedicated to past, present, and future process improvement practitioners—internal champions, consultants, lead appraisers, team members—who have labored to reach out to middle managers and executives and share the light. We hope that CMMI will expand the ranks of these often overlooked, but important, change agents, and through them help a host of organizations improve their capabilities and reach their business goals.
