1.7. Meeting with the Executive Board

Matt spends the next week synthesizing the information he has gleaned from his team members. He also references discussions he has held with project managers who were involved in some of the challenging projects that were part of the initial outsourcing activity. He has been told by the chief information officer that he will be invited to the next meeting of the executive board to discuss plans for getting the outsourcing initiative back on track.

Based on the interviews, the discussions with suppliers, and his contacts within other companies that have instituted outsourcing, Matt feels confident that he can put together a presentation for the board that will resonate with board members and give them confidence that the company can move forward with this approach and be successful.
