Managing Complexity

The other conclusion that Reeves made was that “Designing software is an exercise in managing complexity” [Reeves, 1992]. Software development is hard because even small programs contain a lot of complexity; large programs are incredibly complex.

From a questioning perspective it is interesting to examine the different ways that the complexity is handled. How do the different handoffs help or hinder the management of all the complexity?
