Read the following scene. In the scene, Elizabeth, Elliott, and Tracy (all project team members), are sitting around a conference table. There are papers, folders, and day planners on the table.
Elizabeth: Hey, I don't know about you two, but I feel a little uncomfortable about setting up an on-line database for this project. I mean, I know several of us are good working with computers, but I'm not sure if anyone on the team knows enough about databases to create one for an outside source.
Elliott: I agree with you, Elizabeth. I feel the same way.
Tracy: Well, then let's not risk it. Do either of you know any companies here in town that specialize in database construction?
Elizabeth: Actually, I know of a couple. I could contact them and get some sort of quotes for the work.
Now, discuss the following:
Which method of developing project standards did they select? What are other ways of developing project standards?
