The EnterPrize Organization does not require a project management office (PMO) in order to be effective. However, a PMO can offer great benefits, the larger the overall organization and the larger the number of projects within that organization.

A PMO is a group of people with a mission to support project managers in the successful launch, implementation, and completion of projects. It includes performing any tasks that can benefit current or future projects. This mission can be interpreted narrowly or broadly, depending on the budget and overall objectives of a PMO.
