It is becoming more common for project information to be shared with the project stakeholders. When the project management information system provides information to stakeholders, the conditions for getting the stakeholders working together are facilitated. When project problems, successes, failures, challenges, and other issues are brought to the attention of the project stakeholders, there will likely be closer identification of the people with the project. If the stakeholders sense that the project manager is withholding information, there is the risk that stakeholders will perceive that the project manager does not trust them, because the information is not being shared. The sharing of information can promote trust, empathy, and more mature relationships among project stakeholders. Then, too, as the project stakeholders review information on the project, such as the problems that the project faces, they may have suggestions that can contribute to the solution of the problems.
