An Introduction to Social Awareness

Social awareness is the ability to understand the emotions of others. It is one of the five building blocks of our project management framework for emotional intelligence as shown in Figure 5-1. It includes the competencies of empathy, organizational awareness, seeing others clearly, and emotional boundaries.
