13 Standards

Standards define generally recognized rules reflecting the “state of the art” of technology. As such, they constitute the frame of reference within which projects operate, promoting consistency of products and processes and providing, at least from a legal point of view, the minimum requirements for professional work.

In this chapter, standards relevant to test management are listed, characterized, and put in relation to each other.
