The Problems Short-Listed

The problems are overwhelming, especially because so many of themare directly or indirectly affected by the organization structure. These were so incredible and mind-boggling that we decided to break up the problems into two sections, one for the organizational issues and one for everything else.

The primary reason for writing this book was to highlight the number of organizational-related issues. We wanted to bring even more focus to this subject; thus the impetus for breaking up all client/server problems into two sections. The severity and number of organizational-related issues were a big surprise to us and others with whom we discussed this subject. Without a doubt it is the biggest problem with client/server computing and deserves top billing.
