Opening Channels and Favorites

Besides using the Open Movie, Open URL, and Import commands, you can easily open either movies on the Internet that Apple has preselected for you (called QuickTime TV Channels) or movies (local or on the Internet) that you have bookmarked as Favorites.

To open a QuickTime TV Channel:

Do one of the following:

• Click the TV button (in the bottom-right corner of the Player window), and if it is not already frontmost, click the tab that contains the QuickTime TV icon (the one with the QuickTime Q and the letters TV). A field of icons appears (Figure 2.16).

  Click the icon for the Channel you want to open.
  
  or
  
  
• From the QTV menu, choose QuickTime TV and then the name of the Channel you want to view (Figure 2.17).
