Using Multiple Selectors and Selector Modes

In an animator group's expanded outline, a range selector's Advanced category includes a Mode option. Selector modes are comparable to mask modes (covered in Chapter 9, “Mask Essentials”). Just as mask modes let you combine multiple masks to create shapes you couldn't achieve otherwise, selector modes let you combine multiple ranges. Selector modes dictate how one selector interacts with the selectors above it in the animator group's stacking order (Figures 12.131 and 12.132). As with layer masks, you don't need to change the mode if you're using only one selector in the group:
