I. Introduction

A little over a year ago, I was approached to write a book on Adobe Premiere Pro. My gut reactions were fear and wonder. Having touched nearly every element of the program from testing to development to tradeshows to training, I felt that writing a book would truly test my passion for the product.

For the last ten years, I have dedicated a large portion of my life to solving problems and trying to create problems using Premiere, now Premiere Pro 1.5. This has left me with my hands full of lessons, tips, tricks, and techniques. I am pleased to be able to share what I have learned with you, so that you do not have to suffer the same setbacks and so that features can make sense right away.
