Chapter 10. Unscrambling Type

When you're designing titles and credits, it's a challenge to capture the audience's attention and get them to read the text. I recently created a segment open for a network TV show in which I animated letters that spelled a sitcom character's name, scrambled into nonsense, and then unscrambled to reveal the name of the actor portraying the character. Scrambled words that gradually unscramble can help keep people engaged as they try to figure out what words are forming.
