Basic Trimming

While reading this chapter, we’re confident that you’ll find multipurpose trim tools, like the Ripple Edit, Rolling Edit, Slip, and Slide tools, a key part of your workflow. Be sure to also make the Trim Monitor a frequent stop, because it will provide you with the most flexibility for making complex trims. All of these tools can be overkill, however, if you just need to make a simple trim (such as adjusting a clip’s In or Out point) without affecting other clips or sequence length.
