Safari Books Online is a digital library providing on-demand subscription access to thousands of learning resources.
The Project Library is where you organize your individual projects. When you create a new project, the Project Library lets you specify where to store it (you can also relocate it later). It also lets you seamlessly switch from one project to another in just a few clicks.
As you progress through editing (and the rest of this book), you’ll find that we keep coming back to the Project Library. For now, we’ll focus on creating, modifying, and moving projects. Later in the book you’ll tackle tasks like media management and publishing.
The easiest time to edit a project is before you edit any media into it. Once a clip has been inserted into a project, its frame rate is locked. This means that if you start at 24 fps, you cannot change your mind down the road and make it 29.97. Additionally, cutting footage into the wrong-sized sequence can result in unintentional changes to a frame’s size.
