Working with Markers

Markers are simple reference points you can place on clips in your Timeline that you can use to locate, identify, and annotate specific frames. In editing, markers have several uses:

• You can use a marker to synchronize two or more clips at a specific point. For example, you might want to sync a specific sound effect with action on the screen or a sound bite with specific action in a b-roll shot.

• You can use markers (blue markers) to flag a specific location in a clip so you can easily find editing notes.

• You can also use markers to tag to-do items (red markers) and completed to-do items (green markers).

Add a Marker

One of the easiest ways to use markers is to identify elements in the Timeline. With just a few keystrokes or clicks, you can quickly add some organization.
