Cuing Clips Numerically

You can use the time displays to cue the Source and Program Monitors to a particular frame number, or absolute time. Like most user-defined values in Premiere Pro CS3 and other Adobe products, the time display is scrubbable hot text—you can adjust the value by dragging the number.

To cue a Monitor to an absolute time

1.
Click the Monitor panel’s current time display to highlight the number (Figure 5.12).

2.
Enter the number of the frame that you want to view, and press Return/Enter (Figure 5.13).

Figure 5.13. Type a valid frame number (typically, expressed in timecode), and press Return/Enter.


As long as the frame number that you entered exists, the view displays that frame.
