In the preceding lesson you rerecorded dialogue to improve a scene. That audio now needs to be edited to fit seamlessly into the audio recorded on set. The new audio clips need to be trimmed to just their essential parts, placed, and time-stretched to precisely match the movement of the onscreen actor’s lips, as well as adjusted to match the volume of the other clips in the Timeline. Ambient sound must also be added to the rerecorded clips to match the setting of the scene.
