Creating Stories

Everyone has a story. You have stories about your family, about your business, your hobbies, nature, sports, and the list goes on. Whatever it is that really interests you, you will find that you can create a movie about that. You don’t have to be some Hollywood director or cameraman to do this. At the most basic level, creating a movie is simply about putting together a sequence of video and audio clips that work together to tell a story about the world around you.

Video is ideal for this. With still photography, you might capture a spectacular shot, but it is only one shot. It can be hard to put a story into a single shot; most photographers are not taught to do that. With video, you’re combining motion and sound with changing visuals to create a different way of communicating compared to what you get from a still photograph.
