Blu-ray Explained

AS OF 2008, ALL HOLLYWOOD HD videos are shot in the Blu-ray format. They then either produce Blu-ray DVDs and/or down-sample them for SD DVDs for those with only standard DVD players. Personal Blu-ray use has increased as well. Many of you probably own or have access to BD DVD playback capabilities with BD DVD players or Sony PlayStation systems, but my guess is that few of you have the capability to create your own BD discs or have a BD camcorder at this point. Next year, who knows?

The nice thing about Blu-ray players is that they will play all DVD formats, standard and HD.
