You remember writing something about Madagascar sometime last year when you were looking at exotic locations for next year’s conference. But you can’t remember the name of the hotel, and you’re not quite sure when you created the note. How will you find it? The most obvious thing is to search for the word Madagascar. If you didn’t use that word specifically in the note (or maybe you misspelled it), you can search for a portion of the word—or any word you might have included in the note text. This section shows you the various ways you can search for and find the notes you seek.
The easiest way to search for a specific note in Evernote is to click All Notes and then click in the search box and type a word or phrase reflecting the content you want to find. You can also expand the search options and choose a specific notebook in which to search.
