5. Adding and Working with Images > Scanning Directly into Evernote

Scanning Directly into Evernote

As a collector of information, Evernote makes gathering up stray bits and pieces of data you’ve scattered around in various places easy for you. You can clip things from the web, tweet notes to yourself, send email directly to your notebook, capture pictures of doodles and designs you like, and even scan documents and photos directly into Evernote.

Some scanners enable you to scan the image directly into an Evernote folder, and other scanners require that you set the Evernote email address up as the recipient of the scan. This section shows you a couple of ways you can scan your content into Evernote.

Note that after your scanner is working with Evernote, you can scan either images or text notes—or other things, such as awards, ribbons, and other embellishments—to your notes.
