Synchronizing with Lotus Notes
With the release of the SalesforceWinter '07 version, users whose companies use Lotus Notes as their corporate e‐mail standard may also synchronize contacts, tasks, events, and e‐mails with Salesforce. Additionally, users may create a new case in Salesforce from an e‐mail received in Lotus Notes.
Installing and configuring Lotus Notes Edition
To download and install Lotus Notes Edition, follow these steps:
Go to Setup ⇨ Desktop Integration ⇨ Lotus Notes Edition.
The Lotus Notes Edition page appears.
The installation process begins. Follow instructions in the InstallShield wizard to complete your installation.
If your company plans to synchronize your calendars with Outlook or Lotus Notes, make a habit of synchronizing daily to keep your activities up to date.
If you discover that you accidentally deleted records in Salesforce while synchronizing, you can go to your Recycle Bin and restore those records within 30 days from the date you deleted the records.
