How to Communicate on Facebook

You can’t have a social networking site without avenues to communicate, and Facebook has plenty. You’ve already learned how to express yourself on your timeline page by posting a story. This particular form of communication is generated by you for the purpose of letting people know what you’re up to. When they pop by your page, they see your activities and any status updates you posted. They can also see your stories out on the Home page in the news feed scroll.

Communicating by posts goes both ways—friends can write on your page, and you can also write on your friends’ pages to communicate with them. You might write a new posting, or comment on existing postings on a friend’s timeline. Anyone else who views the friend’s page can also see your postings and comments (unless your friend has restricted viewing).
