Lesson 7. Using Third-Party Applications: TweetDeck

In July 2008, an application intending to fulfill the needs of Twitter accounts sporting larger-than-average communities debuted; and within months, this client quickly gained popularity. Along with aiding Twitter users in cultivating massive numbers, this application also helped with users that tweeted frequently and took advantage of various online utilities. Some power users swear by it whereas certain early-adopter circles loathe its intent to filter out certain voices. Whatever argument you take or make, it is impossible to ignore or deny the influence (and popularity) of TweetDeck (http://tweetdeck.com) within the Twitter community.
