7.3. Participating in New Groups

What you can do in a new Group depends on whether you’re an administrator or a regular member. (The person who creates a new Group is automatically an administrator of that Group. An administrator can designate other administrators—or not—at her discretion.) For example, administrators can change the way a Group works by changing its privacy settings and collective email address, and kick out unwanted members. Regular members can’t do any of those things, but they can send emails to all the other members and post on the Group’s page, and decide what kind of Group-related notifications they want Facebook to send them.
