Lesson 16. Learning Lingo

Lesson 16. Learning Lingo

No matter what kind of Lingo script you write, you'll use the same basic tools in Director and the same basic procedure: you decide what kind of script to create, create the script in the Script window or Behavior Inspector, test the script by running it, and find and fix any problems. This lesson introduces you to those basic tools and procedures and to the different types of Lingo scripts. It describes how Lingo works and shows you how you can use the Message window to look under Director's hood and see Lingo in action.

Figure . The Script window and Message window are basic tools for writing the Lingo commands that convey instructions to Director.
