Safari Books Online is a digital library providing on-demand subscription access to thousands of learning resources.
If you come up with some handy multi-step tricks you want to use again and again, you can save them as commands. That way, they'll be accessible—even after you quit and restart Dreamweaver—from the Commands menu. Saved commands are available as part of the Dreamweaver interface, regardless of which local site you're using.
To save steps as a command:
1. | In the History panel, select the step(s) you want to save (Figure 18.102). Figure 18.102. Select the steps you want to save as a command. They can be adjacent or nonadjacent.

2. | On the History panel, click on the Shortcut Menu button and select Save As Command (Figure 18.103). or Click on the Save As Command button The Save As Command dialog box will appear (Figure 18.104). Figure 18.103. Select Save As Command from the shortcut menu.

3. | Type a name for your command in the Command Name text box. Spaces and capital letters are okay. |
4. | Click on OK. The Command dialog box will close, and your command will be added to the Commands menu. |
