When you start Dreamweaver for the first time, you'll see a main window, called the Document window, and several floating panels (Figure 1.1).
You'll use the Document window and its trusty fleet of panels for everything from typography to animation. Dreamweaver can make your work life easier, no matter whether you're creating a simple home page or a large and complex site. If you've used Dreamweaver before, the first difference you'll notice is the new toolbar, which gives you quick options for twiddling with your code and managing your files.
The main components of Dreamweaver that I'll introduce in this chapter are the Launcher, the Site window, the Document window, the HTML Code inspector, the Objects panel, and the Property inspector.
