Lesson 2. Getting to Know the Work Area > Using the Objects palette

Using the Objects palette

The Objects palette contains several sets of related icons, organized according to general tasks that you perform when building and maintaining a Web site. You use the Basic or default set of icons to add objects, such as layout grids, layout text boxes, floating boxes, tables, and images, to your pages. Other sets make it easy for you to add smart objects, create forms, add meta information, lay out frames, add dynamic content, add generic site objects, add reusable site objects, and create site design diagrams.

Across the top of the Objects palette are several buttons, which you click to display the different sets. Now you'll learn how to view the names of buttons in the Objects palette.
