A big design challenge

IT took the charge and responded to the business need for more efficient and more effective software delivery methods. Now we as designers need to rise to the challenge to redesign design and bring it back in line, and up to speed, with digital development and to inject design into the agile process. We want design to be efficient, effective, and emergent with a vision, but we also want to create engaging and desirable experiences.

The mission of this book is twofold:

• Help designers understand where they fit into the agile process and how to make the most of its advantages.

• Help project managers, developers, and everyone else who is involved in the delivery of software understand how important design is and where it fits into the agile development process.
