The Color “Done”

As you work with commercial printing, always remember that you’re at the mercy of a series of mechanical processes that, in many ways, haven’t changed since 1900. Temperature, humidity, and ambient static electricity play large roles in the process, and the people who operate these systems are at least skilled craftspeople; at best, artists. Ask them as many questions as they’ll answer, set your job up the way they want it, and then sit back and watch your job come off the press.
